Block and Punch Combinations

We are going to learn how to coordinate the followings, this will help you to perform Taegeuk 1 jhang confidently. It is also essential to perform one step sparring.

• Low block followed by punch 아래막고 지르기 (Arae-Makgo-Jireugi)

The front kick is the basic technique for delivering a direct blow to the opponent‘s trunk or face. The front kick motion is divided into three stages. Tightly chambering, snapping and recovering.

Round House Kick

The round house kick is the most widely and diversely used technique in sparring. It is initiated by quickly rotating the upper body. The round house kick, like the front kick, can be divided into three stages. These are the initial rotation of the shoulders and then the tuck of the knee, extension of the leg and recovering.

The fundamental motion of front kick and round house kick are mechanically similar and once the basic execution has been mastered, a number of variations of the angle of an attack can naturally be made depending on the demands of the technical or fighting situation.

Side Kick

The side kick is one of the most widely recognized variations of Taekwondo‘s kicking technique. The crucial elements of the side kick motion are founded in the chambering of the knee, then the extension of the knee. • 앞차고 옆차기 | Front kick followed by side kick.
• 돌려차고 지른후 돌려차기 | Round house kick, punch followed by another round house kick.
