LOW BLOCK | 아래막기 (Arae-Markki)
In this lesson, you will learn how to properly execute low block to complete white belt form Taegeuk 1 jhang. This movement appears in the first line of the form for the first time.
INNER BODY BLOCK | 몸통 안막기 (Momtong-Ahn-Makki)
In this lesson, you will learn how to properly execute inner body block to complete white belt form Taegeuk 1 jhang. This movement appears in the second line of the form.
FACE BLOCK | 얼굴 막기 (Ulgool-Markki)
In this lesson, you will learn how to properly execute face block to complete white belt form Taegeuk 1 jhang. This movement appears in the third line of the form.
BLOCK AND PUNCH COMBINATIONS
We are going to learn how to coordinate low block followed by punch
아래막고 지르기 (Arae-Makgo-Jireugi), inner body block with punch
몸통안막고 지르기 (Momtong-Ahn-Makgo-Jireugi) and face block with punch
얼굴막고 지르기 (Ulgool-Makgo-Jireugi), this will help you to perform Taegeuk 1 jhang confidently. It is also essential to perform one step sparring.
6 BASIC STANCES
Following stances are essential to practice all basic movements, complete your form and one-step sparring. Students must learn how to perform each movements as follows.
- 차렷 Cha-Ryut – Attention stance.
- 나란히서기 Naranhi Serki – Parallel stance.
- 주춤서기 Juchum Serki – Horseback riding stance.
- 앞서기 Apserki – Walking stance.
- 앞굽이 Apkubi – Front stance.

FRONT KICK | 앞차기 (Aap-chagi)
The front kick is the basic technique for delivering a direct blow to the opponent‘s trunk or face. The front kick motion is divided into three stages. Tightly chambering, snapping and recovering.
ROUND HOUSE KICK | 돌려차기 (Dyllyo-chagi)
The round house kick is the most widely and diversely used technique in sparring. It is initiated by quickly rotating the upper body. The round house kick, like the front kick, can be divided into three stages. These are the initial rotation of the shoulders and then the tuck of the knee, extension of the leg and recovering.

The fundamental motion of front kick and round house kick are mechanically similar and once the basic execution has been mastered, a number of variations of the angle of an attack can naturally be made depending on the demands of the technical or fighting situation.
SIDE KICK | 옆차기 (Yopchagi)
The side kick is one of the most widely recognized variations of Taekwondo‘s kicking technique. The crucial elements of the side kick motion are founded in the chambering of the knee, then the extension of the knee. It is important to maintain a straight line with the heel of the foot from the floor to the target.

FRONT, ROUND AND SIDE KICK COMBINATIONS
Practicing a combination of kicks will help you to improving the ability to make the proper kick selection on the moving opponent during sparring. Here are examples of 3 basic kicks with punch combinations.
- 앞차고 앞차기 – Front kick followed by front kick.
- 앞차고 돌려차기 – Front kick followed by round house kick.
- 앞차고 옆차기 – Front kick followed by side kick.
- 돌려차고 지른후 돌려차기 – Round house kick, punch followed by another round house kick.
