Many people are fascinated and attracted by these kick to begin Tae Kwon Do training. You will begin to learn one of those. These kicks are not very related to previous kicks that you learn so far, fresh your mind just like very beginning. You are ranked as 3th Gup for Purple Belt.

FRONT FOOT HOOK KICK | 앞발 후려차기 (Aap-Bal-Hooryu-charki)
The hook kick is the trade mark move of taekwondo. Due to the difficulty of this technique, a high degree of strength, flexibility, coordination and balance are required. Initial training should begin by practicing the sweeping motion of the knee. After becoming accustomed to the sweeping motion of the knee, gradually adding speed power and height.

REAR FOOT HOOK KICK | 뒷발 후려차기 (Dwit-Bal-Hooryu-charki)
The rear foot hook kick shares mechanical characteristics of the front foot hook kick, in the way the sweeping action is executed. This is an especially difficult technique for beginners, as it requires uncommon hip flexibility and leg strength.

Practicing a combination of kicks will help you to improving the ability to make the proper kick selection on the moving opponent during sparring. Here are examples of using front and rear foot hook kick.

  • 앞발 후려차고 돌려차기
    Front foot hook kick followed by round house kick.
  • 뒷발 후려차고 돌려차기
    Rear foot hook kick followed by round house kick.
  • 돌려차고 뒷발 후려차기
    Round house kick followed by rear foot hook kick.

RESPONSIVE SKIPPING FOOTWORK
In following lessons you will learn some variations from blue belt course. Simply adding feint motion in front of the footworks from blue belt course to draw your opponent’s kick or break their balance to counter. In this lesson you will learn the followings.

  • 속임동작후 제자리 발바꾸며 동시에 차는발짓기
    Feint and Switch Feet and Kick (1move).
  • 속임동작후 앞발들며 두발 동시에 일보전진
    Feint and Skip 1Hop Forward.
